Hi
ApurvaMehta,
Thanks for reaching out to us with your profile. Overall I think you have a strong profile and I like that you have a background in the "business side" of energy, which should help differentiate you from others with an engineering background. It's also great to see that you have project management experience, and international exposure, and that you've given back through extra initiatives at work. From an academic standpoint, you've got a great GPA, but I agree your GMAT score is a weak point. As an engineer and as an applicant from India, you'll likely be compared to others with much higher scores. If you were to apply with your current score, I think you'd want to target schools that have GMAT averages close to yours which I think means you'd have to look outside the top 20/25 US schools. Personally, I think it is best to apply when your profile is strongest and the GMAT is still in your control! Applying in Round 2 shouldn't be a major impact on your chances or even your scholarship odds. In fact, a higher GMAT is more likely to increase those odds. So I would go for your option 2, but I'm happy to assist with other questions no matter which option you choose.
Good luck!
Kate

2. Prepare for GMAT again through September 2022 and apply in round 2 (December 22/January 23) with a potentially better score. If yes, is there a good chance to get scholarship?
