2006 - 2010 : BTech - Civil Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune with CGPA of 6.32/10
2010 - 2012 : Project Coontrols Engineer at Punj LLyod Ltd. (Campus Placement)
2012 - 2014 : Master of Science from JEP of IIRS, Dehradun and ITC, University of Twente, Netherlands with 74%
2014 - 2015 : Preparing for UPSC
2015 - till date : Selected through UPSC and posted as Group A officer/Scientist at India Meteorological Department, Ministry of Earth Science, Government of India. I have International exposure with multiple visits and stay abroad.
2017 - till date : Pursuing Part Time Phd in the field of Meteorology
GMAT : Preparing and will be taking exam in July 2022.
Reason for MBA : I feel I have achieved a stagnation in the technical field and would now like to pursue MBA in order to accept some really challening senior amangement and leadership roles
Target Colleges : I am preparing for MBA and still confused with one year MBAs in India and abroad given my 10 years of work expereince (aiming for Intake of 2024). Still I am thinking of applying sloan fellows one year programme at Standford, MIT and LBS. But given that I have little expereince in managment and more in technical field, I feel career prospect after that in terms of placement and ROI (as I already have a stable pay scale from Central Government) is blink. Among Indian programmes, I aim for IIM A.
Kindly advise if my profile is fit for Sloan fellow programs, also considering the fact that I am low CGPA in undergraduation.

Your profile is good. You are a tad bit old. So, find ways to boost your profile using extracurricular activities like joining a NGO, doing volunteer work and working in a place of leadership. Also aim for a good GMAT score (750+). Then you can get MIT Sloan.
IIM A, you can get at much less score of 720 and much less effort. Your profile for IIM A is good enough. My friend got in IIM A at 700 with much weaker profile.
So, if you are aiming for IIM A , you just need to get 720 and do well in interview.

As noted in the previous post, the GMAT is a huge missing factor. If you can cross 700 and hit somewhere 730+, you should be given fair consideration.
Then after that, the key is going to be tying together all of your 10 years of experience in a way that show you have a natural career arc and have had significant leadership and technical capabilities to couple with management training at an MBA program.

As noted in the previous post, the GMAT is a huge missing factor. If you can cross 700 and hit somewhere 730+, you should be given fair consideration.
Then after that, the key is going to be tying together all of your 10 years of experience in a way that show you have a natural career arc and have had significant leadership and technical capabilities to couple with management training at an MBA program.
