Hiya,
Thanks for posting. Sounds like you are planning a GMAT re-take, so good luck with that, definitely prepare thoroughly-- it's worth it!
Your experience is less typical of many of the Indian applicants applying who have computer science degrees, and there are positives and negatives associated with that fact.... I would work hard to showcase any leadership and management skills you feel you've developed in your role at the bank, and how you feel your perspective will contribute to the class. The promotions you've received are a vote of confidence in those skills so those are a plus.
You've got a good start to your profile from what I can tell, but ideally you yes you want to identify schools that would be a good fit for you and where you have a shot at admission. At this point it would be tough to 'choose 6 schools' for you as there are so many factors to consider (!!!), everything from geographic location, to your post-MBA goals, to class size, to setting, to curriculum differences etc.... for more on choosing schools, check out our free download at:

But overall I'd say if you are looking solely at the US, the top 10 or so will be reach schools given how competitive they are, beyond that it may depend upon your interests, your score, and other factors that would come through on your application. Do some research and feel free to post back here with questions or sign up for a free consultation with us!
Good luck!
