Dear shikharmathur09,

While your extra curriculars are impressive, your GMAT Score will pull down your candidature significantly. Less work experience can still be negated to some extent if you are able to show high impact roles at the two startups you have worked with, but you still would need to bump your score by at least 20-30 points to have a realistic shot at ISB this year. Do note that R1 or R2 wont matter a lot unless you are able to utilize the extra few weeks to get a higher GMAT score.

To answer your question below:
"Will it be wise to skip Round 1 admissions right now of ISB and focus entirely on improving score (by atleast 30-40 points) and apply for round 2 or should I apply in Round 1 while parallelly preparing to improve my GMAT score"

You can't update scores after submitting your application once, nor can you reapply in the same application season in a subsequent round if you are dinged in the initial one. So the scenario of your applying in R1 and then prepping for GMAT again in parallel won't lead you anywhere.

Wishing you all the very Best !
