Dear @tanmaygarg752,

Below is an evaluation of your profile:

GMAT: While with this score, you will make the cut for SPJIMR and in all likelihood ISB as well, you need to get 30 points bump for a realistic shot at NUS.

Work Ex: ZS is a feeder firm for ISB as quite a significant number of people apply to ISB from ZS every year. You will need to clearly articulate the differentiated impact you were able to create, uniqueness in your experiences (functional areas – IC vs MR vs GenAI etc. / geographies – NAM vs EU vs APAC / projects – services-oriented vs internal products / onshore vs India experience etc.). While ISB will be looking for a combination of leadership traits and business exposure, NUS will also be looking for international exposure apart from these). Don’t over emphasize on technical prowess in the application.

Education: You are a good to go in this parameter.

Extra-Curriculars: Everything that you have mentioned is dated as they are things that seems you aren’t pursuing any longer. Since quantum of your experience is on the lower side (<36 months) for ISB and NUS, ad coms might get a feeling that you don’t have enough leadership / team management exposure. You will need to supplement your professional projects with some community/group-based initiatives outside work (FYI: It doesn’t have to be NGO; it can be any voluntary contribution – even a Book club or a TG /YT Channel works). For example you can extrapolate on your Consulting Group initiative at DCE to even now – small informal groups of people who discuss different industry trends and their implications etc.

I am an ISB alum, CO15, who ironically worked at ZS prior to doing my MBA, and have been mentoring applicants successfully crack global MBA programs over the last 8 years. Feel free to get in touch if you seek professional support to draft impactful applications.

Cheers and wish you all the best !

Hey Tanmay!

Below you can find a detailed analysis done by our team, but specifically for your case, I have a comment: I think the GMAT Score puts you in a competitive zone but with such a strong profile, I am very sure it will not be a reason of rejection/shortlist. If you've time, go for a retake, there is nothing much to lose. However, if things go south, I have a strong hunch you can get selected provided you have a strong reasoning for Masters + impressive essays. Keep that in mind :)

Detailed Analysis
GMAT:
A 645 on the GMAT Focus is within range for SPJIMR and slightly below the median for ISB and NUS, but by no means a dealbreaker. With your strong academics, consulting brand, and leadership exposure, you can absolutely make a competitive case if your application essays are impactful and narrative-driven. Focus on articulating your “why MBA” and “why now” convincingly — that can easily offset a marginally lower score.

Work Experience:
Your ZS Associates experience (strategy, analytics, client delivery) positions you well for all three schools. ISB and NUS value applicants from consulting backgrounds who can demonstrate measurable client impact, initiative, and leadership.

Emphasize moments when you influenced senior stakeholders or drove business outcomes.

Mention any cross-regional exposure (NAM/EU/APAC) or high-visibility projects.

The PPO and “Excellent Learner Award” signal performance consistency — highlight these proudly.

Education:
Strong academic foundation — DTU with an 8.74 CGPA is well regarded, especially combined with your internships at PwC, EY, and FrontRow. Shows analytical capability and curiosity across domains.

Leadership & Extracurriculars:
This is where you shine. As President of Yuvaan Festival, managing 100+ members and partnerships adds a strong leadership dimension. Your involvement with Teach for India, UNV India, and Hamari Pehchaan showcases social awareness — something ISB values highly. These experiences can meaningfully strengthen your application narrative around leadership with empathy and purpose.

Overall Assessment:
A well-balanced and high-potential profile with strong leadership, academics, and consulting exposure. You’re well-placed for SPJIMR. For ISB, you’ll be a competitive applicant if your essays convey strong impact, maturity, and self-awareness. NUS remains realistic, especially if you highlight global collaboration and adaptability in your experience.

Hi tanmaygarg752,

Profile-wise, there is a lot working for you - strong academic background, potential for leadership, and decent extra-curricular activities.

The 645 on the GMAT, though, may prove to be a dampener for both ISB and NUS; so, if the option to take it up exists, we would recommend working on the same.

If the option to take it up does not exist, just focus on putting forth an application that captures your strengths in entirety and portrays goals that are in sync with your experience at ZS. Focus on showcasing the impact generated through your process optimisation initiatives and stakeholder management activities.

Please leave an inquiry for a free strategy session; don't worry about enrollment etc; even if we are able to give you some good insights, we will be happy.

All the best!
