I dont know to what extent this matters but i am a kashmiri muslim who has lived all her life in J&K before college. Does this type of diversity matter and effect my target GMAT Focus score?
Also a 675 required on GMAT Focus, does that mean i am lacking somewhere else?
So a 675==720-730 on the Focus Edition which is near about the average for ISB (~720 for the last cohort)
Ethnic diversity might play a part but I’d advise not to consider it to be a deciding factor.
However, if it does indeed contribute to your essay (more like your storyline) maybe bring it out but don’t be dependent on it.
That said your 10th and 12th grades are pretty solid and profile is well rounded - PoRs/ T1 college/ National Level Awards and Sports. Which makes it a solid case even with a slightly lower score.
However that isn’t something you’d want to target. Ideally something like a 675 should most definitely get you across the line (unless you completely screw up the interview) and a higher score should make you a fair contender for $$.
Fairly sure that with a 705-715 you should be easily able to contend for a pure merit scholarship given a slight dip in your undergrad GPA on an otherwise stellar profile
( A friends profile - Classic 770/ JPMC/ CFA L2/ not so fabulous academics but 9.4-9.5 in Narsee Monjee/ 93% HS/ Founders office startup role : 100%scholarship - Cohort of 25 )
( My profile - Classic 710/ T1 Engineering - Gold/ 98.4% 10th/ 93.4% 12th/ Tata Steel (worked there when the interviews happened)/ Patent published/ couple of research papers/ Volunteering at CRY/ Community Builder on Reddit (running one of the top 10 subs)
(haven’t yet gotten a scholarship decision but that’s due in November for the current YLP batch)
