Test results in! Happy holidays everyone.
I just took the GMAT today and got my score. It came back at 650, 46 quant and 34 verbal, which I think should be competitive to get me into a good, but not elite school. I had a 3.7 GPA in undergrad and will have awesome recommendations from my 2 years of experience in HR along with a great personal essay (literally overcame a life threatening illness and started a nonprofit to help others with it because I was unable to work for a couple years). I think my saving grace will be the perfect 8 on the IR section, which I've read is becoming more important. What do people think about my likelihood of getting into Vandy, Penn State, Georgia Tech, Florida, Indiana, Washington, or Emory? I've got Alabama as a safe school (went there for undergrad). I want to be strategic with my applications.
I would have liked to have scored a little higher but I think I'm likely to get in to at least 2 schools with this score. If it matters, I'm a Florida resident. Don't know if this kind of post is normal as I'm new here. I'm applying for the upcoming deadlines in January and would appreciate any perspective on my likelihood to get into these schools. I did my best to eliminate any schools I didn't think were feasible at all like Darden, despite being a legacy, and Fuqua.
