Thanks for clarifying your years of work experience. That makes sense and is more than appropriate for the schools.

You will need a much better reason for that career vision. Following in your parents' footsteps is a minor justification. It can be an initial reason as to why you thought about it, but your the reason in your essays has to be much more substantial than that. Your short-term and long-term goals plus your reasons for pursuing an MBA are heavily scrutinized in this process and so having a well thought out narrative is essential.

Again, please reach out if you'd like to discuss in further detail and pair up with one of our consultants to guide you through this application season. I have included a link below for a free consultation:

Yes, if that is in fact the proper conversion that would have a slightly negative impact on your chances. Candidates applying to Columbia and MIT have less wiggle room with their individual components.

Still, GPA is a tricky matter because it is not quite the apples-to-apple comparison like the GMAT. GPA can vary from country to country, university to university, major to major, and even course to course.

That all being said, a 770 is a phenomenal score so the schools might be open to a lower-than-average GPA or somewhat with an above-average GMAT score.

You are best applying to all of these schools and possibly adding in a couple of others to make sure you are properly hedging your chances.
