Hi,
I've just given my GMAT and got a score of 710(49Q/37V, IR 7, AWA 5.5).
A bit more about myself:
I'm an Indian male, age 24 years. I have lived outside india for the major part of my life (in the middle east).
I have a bachelors degree in Electronics and Communications form NIT Trichy ( Rank 8 college in India ) with a CGPA of 3.6/4, graduated in 2013.
After which I worked at a Patent consulting firm in india for one year.
I then moved to Dubai, UAE the following year and started my own business, in interior design and execution for restaurants. I have built the company from scratch and over the past one year have completed projects worth 5 Million AED and employ 18 people today. In the process opening 8 restaurants in dubai, my company works with all major hospitality groups in Dubai and has earned a very good reputation in the market. I aim to pursue my business for another one year before I hand it over to one of my family members. During the process of setting up my business I have learnt that an MBA would have been very helpful.
I would like to have my own tech start up after my MBA.
In 10 years time I would like start my own non-profit to aid under privileged children around the world with access to better food and education.
At my first job I was awarded the best new recruit of the year and was also awarded a Bravo award (special appreciation form the client) for my work on one of my projects.
I introduced the first CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) activity at the company since its inception. I was instrumental in setting up the CSR policy for the company.
While working at my first job I volunteered at an NGO that aimed at educating under privileged children. I began volunteering as a teacher, over time I was given the opportunity to plan and execute a fund raising event, the event raised the highest funds in that city and I was completely in-charge of the event, from concept design to marketing and execution. I was then given the position as lead for Pubilc relations for the NGO for the city, in this regard our team arranged a Special camp for the kids and this was covered in the newspaper which included an interview from me.
To further my career at this point in time I would like to apply for an MBA program. Given my profile it would be very helpful if you could advice me to which colleges I can apply to. With colleges considered, ambitious, moderate and safe.
Thanks
Adarsh
