Hi Guys,
Just want to get your opinions on my credentials:
Singaporean
University College London School of Management Undergrad Course (1st Class Honours: Converts to around a >3.8/4.00)
Internship experience: Interned in a Singaporean bank in client management, a trust company in China as a real estate financing intern, Buy-side equity research intern in a investment management firm.
Aiming for LSE Msc Finance, LBS MFA, and MIT Sloan MFin
GMAT: 700/800 (Q47,V38)
Modules in Uni: Data Analytics, Linear Alge, Python Programming, Calculus,
Extras: Analyst in university's Investment Fund,
Right now I'm also curious if I should take my gmat another time since my GMAT score is at a neither here nor there position. I have taken it 2 times after my 700, and the scores appeared to get worse and worse (680, 650).
Just want some of your thoughts on my next steps

Hey there,
Judging from your academics and your undergrad brand, you have a pretty strong profile and would’ve stood a good chance of acceptance if the selection was solely based on academics. Hopping on to your internship experiences, you have a well-established ground of practical knowledge in the field which is again a big add on. However, what seems to be on the lower side is your extracurriculars which are limited to your academics again. What ad coms are looking for is a differentiated and holistically developed profile. I’m not sure if you have mentioned just the highlight of this section but I would strongly suggest you work on adding weight to this aspect of your profile by either breathing life into your hobbies or simply by contributing to the betterment of the society by participating in an NGO.
As for your 700 GMAT score which is pretty decent, the schools you’re aiming for are highly competitive and prefer choosing the best out of the lot. Since this score does play a role in grabbing an admit you can always work your way up to a B-school by crafting an application that highlights all other parts of your profile which would eventually camouflage your low score if that would be the case in comparison to your competition.
Overall, you have a good enough profile and no alarming red flags that will bring your application down, but you can always work towards raising your standards, thus these suggestions.
For the schools you’re aiming at, being the cream of the domain, the sieving process would be pretty intense but just as I said before, you can play along and increase your chances by 10x simply by crafting an application that well defines your strengths and sets your profile apart which will automatically make your profile an attractive option to the panel.
