Hello,

I am a chinese student who recently finished his undegraduate degree at a spanish university with a GPA of 7.2/10, science branch.

I am applying to LBS, Imperial College, HEC paris and Fuqua.

I still haven't taken the GMAT yet, nor IELST but i am confident of getting at least 680++ (targeting 720+) for GMAT and 7.0 for IELST.

My problem is that alot of shools i want to go requiere less than a year or maximum a year of work experince and i have at least 2.5 years. Do i still have a shot if i present them my CV with all my work experience? or should i modify my CV so it looks like i have less?

Another thing is that i am not quite confident with my overall GPA, since most of the school i apply to requiere a 2:1 UK or 3/4. Does a good performance on GMAT make up for it?

Since i am applying quite late (March), I want to know if the chances will increase if u have an international background (i have worked with different international companies and speak 5 languages (7 including dialects)).

Hey,
So to answer your question: Most MiMs will not be interested in your application because you don't fit their program requirements. With 2.5 years of experience, and not yet having the GMAT, you should reconsider an application to full-time MBA programs starting from next year.

So my best advice: Take your time to do the BEST you can on your GMAT, and start doing your research on MBA programs! :)

Hey,
So to answer your question: Most MiMs will not be interested in your application because you don't fit their program requirements. With 2.5 years of experience, and not yet having the GMAT, you should reconsider an application to full-time MBA programs starting from next year.

Hello,

Thank you for the answer, but would my working experience be enough for full-time MBA? since in most of the programs they require at least 4-6 years of working experince. I do think that i have a bigger shot for Master in managemant rather than full-time MBA.... but i have am confused now since i am in a pretty awkward state professionally...

Hey,
Well, since you w ill have to wait till next year anyhow, by then you will have 3 years experience. Plus, don't forget that you can experience not from when you APPLY, but from when you MATRICULATE, which makes four years - PERFECT!!!!

And like I wrote, your window to do an MiM is basically over. So it's better to think about the MBA, I think,
