Hi
Arushij2604, I am an INSEAD alum, and I have served as an admissions interviewer at INSEAD, so I hope I can provide valuable insights to address your concerns.
As someone who has gained two years of significant professional experience, it seems that you are placing a lot of emphasis on your extracurricular activities and leadership experiences from your college days. It is important to rectify this approach and allocate the appropriate attention to each aspect of your profile, particularly your work experience. Many MiM applicants mistakenly believe that downplaying their work experience can help them secure admission to top MiM programs. However, this is not the right strategy. Presenting a comprehensive view of what you have learned as a professional over the past two years and explaining how an MiM program can propel your career in a new industry and location will make a more convincing argument.
Your GRE score is relatively low for top MiM programs like INSEAD and HEC Paris. Strong storytelling can compensate for this to only some extent, so if you want to stay competitive in your strategy for HEC, you should consider a retake. The higher your score, the better, but attaining for a 325+ will definitely boost your confidence.
Feel free to speak with me regarding your profile or if you want to understand more about opportunities post MiM/MBA.
