Hi
Aditya00799My view is my very own, but I hope you find some value in it.
Top management consulting roles require consultants to have some kind of specialization in their pre-MBA careers. The stronger your focus or the depth/breadth of your experience in those industries, the more attractive you are as a potential employee.
You really need to consider whether an MiM is the right pathway for you. Will you continue focusing on pharma/healthcare post-MiM, or will you move into a completely different domain? This(moving into a random domain) often happens when international students become desperate during their job searches. Try to assess whether your target schools will provide access to opportunities that allow you to develop sectoral expertise over the next few years- this could even be within consulting.
Evaluate whether at some point, your career would eventually require an MBA. Given the significant time and financial investment required for the application process, I hope you have thoroughly assessed these factors.
If you want to get into good MiM programs where career opportunities are plenty, aim upwards of 675 on the GMAT. Most people pursue MiM because they cannot hack growth in their early careers. You don't want to be caught in a challenging situation after graduating from a low-ranking MiM program (or one where international students do not get the desired opportunities).
Feel free to reach out for a discussion
Best wishes
