You have a solid profile for ISB and other strong global MBA programs, but right now you fall into one of the most competitive applicant pools: Indian male engineer + consulting/technology background. That means differentiation (i.e., strong essay narratives that show WHO YOU ARE through your values, passions, background and WHAT YOU CAN DO as a leader, innovator, teammate, etc.), impact, and GMAT score will make or break your candidacy (particularly at top programs).
Your academic success is good overall: your high school scores don't really matter at this point, but your GPA is solid for an engineering student. Your biggest strength is your work experience. Oracle and PwC are strong brands, and 5 years of experience is right in the sweet spot for schools like ISB, INSEAD, and LBS.
The challenge is that many applicants have similar backgrounds, so schools will want to see what makes you different beyond technical execution. Clearly showing your leadership, core values, promotions, impact, mentoring, and clear career vision will be key.
For GMAT, here's where different score ranges would position your candidacy:
665–705 FE: competitive for ISB and some top international programs
715+ FE: gives you a much stronger shot at elite global schools (M7 would be a mix of reach and target schools)
735+ FE: puts you in a genuinely strong position at top programs if the rest of the application is well executed
Overall:
ISB: realistic target with a strong GMAT
IIM Shillong: competitive
INSEAD/LBS/HEC: possible with strong execution
M7 US schools: target and reach schools if you back up a strong GMAT with exceptional narratives that show leadership and differentiation
Overall, I’d describe your candidacy as strong but fairly common. Although your profile can become very competitive with a high GMAT and well-positioned applications.
