Hii GyanOne,

I am a final year BBA Student and expected to have 6.1 CGPA/10.
I am confident that I can score anywhere between 670-710 in GMAT.
Have no work experience/internships.

So according to this which colleges I can get into for MSc Management.
What are my options ?
And can I get admission in Lancaster University with this profile ?

I would love to hear you opinion.

Thanks in Advance.

My Story: LBS MiM Admit 2018 with GyanOne !
I had used the services of GyanOne MBA Admissions Consultant India for my Masters in Management application to the London Business School. The consultants at Gyanone were able to understand my profile in a very comprehensive manner and highlighted the most impressive elements of the same in the Essays. The service was very personalised with the consultants being available at all times to answer my queries.I applied really close to the deadlines but the Gyanone consultants stuck to their word and help me complete the application process well within the deadlines. Many of my friends who had opted for cheaper options were disappointed with the quality of their essays and the lack of communication with their consultants. The 2 mock interviews that I took almost perfectly emulated the actual one and helped me clear the process with ease and confidence. The team at Gyanone comprises of full-time consultants who have graduated from top B-Schools themselves, they played a major role in shaping up a successful application and a subsequent offer that I received from LBS.I wholeheartedly recommend Gyanone to all MIM/MBA aspirants.

Hi abhi7922

Welcome to the GyanOne thread and apologies for the delay in response.

Broadly speaking, with your profile, you do have a chance to make it to Lancaster. Your CGPA is low, and with no internships, you are at a slight disadvantage. Please share more details on your profile and your final score, and if you are still applying, we will come back quickly with our suggestions.

Thanks!

Hi

Excellent profile, though the GMAT is slightly low. In the US, you can look at Duke MMS and Ross MiM (lower chance), while in Europe, you can consider ESCP (good chances) and ESSEC.

Hi Yash9694

- Your academic and professional background is quite good. The FRM and CFA help, though you should try and do L2 to get significantly more credit. ECA is quite solid too.
- Social impact activities should be done basis your own convictions and beliefs. They don't matter too much for top MiM programs (ECA activities do though, and as noted, you are quite good on that part already).
- Just curious - you have HEC on your list, but not LBS. Is it due to the shorter duration of the LBS program? St. Gallen is good, but you would need B2 level German for your knowledge to impact your chances of a German-speaking job at the school.
- If you can go over 700, you would have a shot at HEC and St Gallen. Below that, ESSEC and ESCP are possible.

Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.

Thanks for your insight.
Actually, due to the current Brexit issues, I am hesitant to think about UK. And about St gallen, I have done German till A2. Which college should I target according to this?? And, if I apply to HEC, then it will be necessary for me to learn French.
And if it comes down to it, which is better HEC or St Gallen??

Hi Yash

There is no pre-requisite for you to learn French if you go to HEC; plenty of people find English-speaking roles after HEC. If you do know French, it can be an asset. However, now that you are learning German, stick with it than switch. For international students, HEC has proven to be slightly better to get jobs at - in any case, if you get 700+, HEC should certainly be on your list. You can also look at other French schools such as ESSEC and ESCP, and consider German schools too.

As of now, focus on your GMAT, and getting as high a score as possible.

Hi nishantbhatt
- Your overall academics and profile are pretty strong, with multiple awards. Professional experience (internships) also look decent.
- With a 680, you could look at schools such as ESSEC, ESCP, ESADE, and IE. If you can raise your score by another 30-40 points, HEC and LBS become possibilities as well. Also consider the IESE YTP. INSEAD has also launched an MiM program this year, but the averages there are expected to be high.
- For the YLP, are you already in stage 2?
- Target fall applications this year and you should be in good stead.

Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.

Hi

ESCP and ESADE offer MSc programs in Entrepreneurship, so look at those (they are equivalent to an MiM). IE and ESSEC are good bets too, with plenty of marketing and entrepreneurship resources in their program curriculum.

Hey @ Abi.Kapoor,

I must say that you have a quite good profile.
As you have mentioned a very specific interest in ESSEC, ESCP Europe, UCD Smurfit, and ESADE Business School, so I am going to give my evaluation of keeping this in mind.

When we talk about schools like ESSEC and ESCP - note that these schools attract stellar profiles from around the world. So even with a good profile yourself, you start off almost at a level.

Regarding your Educational profile, I’d say that it is quite decent. Your CGPA is average. Although you have a decent GMAT score but do keep in mind that you will have a strong and intense competition with fellow applicants with 700+ GMAT Score. So try to compensate your CGPA and GMAT with your Work experience and your achievements

Talking about your work experience, you have a good mix of working with a known brand as well as international Diversity. If you are articulate enough on picking the right data points to highlight, they will be an asset to the application.

Also Along with a good profile, you need a extracurriculars that can be showcased through your essays and LOR’s. This can be in the form of some very strong achievements, or a very unique skill set - Something that you do better than the others. Maybe you'll need to build it, or maybe you already have it in your profile.

Overall, I’d say that you have some good chances of getting a call from ESCP and UCD Smurfit. Also, I’d say that proper presentation extracurriculars and your Achievements can increase your chances for ESSEC. In fact, you would need a very strong differentiator and brainstorming sessions that set you apart from other odd applicants.
In Case, If you want more clarity on what are your strengths and weaknesses and what are the parts on which you can improve upon in your profile you can simply take up our free profile evaluation and get a Comprehensive assessment of your profile.[url]http://www.clkmg.com/mim-essay/pe-service-menu-1

AIESEC and Ministry of Science and Technology are some good brands listed in your profile and if highlighted in the right way it can help you to get an edge over the other applicants.

Also Along with a good profile, you need extracurriculars that can be showcased through your essays and LOR’s. This can be in the form of some very strong achievements, or a very unique skill set - Something that you do better than the others. Talking about Bocconi you might won’t have highlighted your profile strengths properly. Other reasons can be not giving a proper justification to the profile weakness.
So, if you want to get your chance high for ESSEC, ESCP, and ESADE, you can try compensating your profile weaknesses with proper justification and highlighting your strengths properly.

Talking about your work experience, you have a good mix of working with a known brand as well as international Diversity. If you are articulate enough on picking the right data points to highlight, they will be an asset to the application.

Maybe you'll need to build it, or maybe you already have it in your profile.

Overall, I’d say that you have some chances of getting a call from ESCP or ESSEC. Also, I’d say that proper presentation extracurriculars and your Achievements can increase your chances for ESSEC. In fact, you would need a very strong differentiator and brainstorming sessions that set you apart from other odd applicants.
