I’m Guillermo from Argentina, 29 yr, some details about my profile:
* GMAT : 700 (Q47,V41, 8 IR, 4.5 AWA)
* Work Experience : 6 years in a leading oil services company (think about Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes) Several positions including: Strategic Planning, Economic & Financial Planning, Management Control; experiences in Argentina, Mexico and Italy. Proven career development from an internship to coordinating a team of 4.
* Education : University of Buenos Aires (Top Institution in Argentina) 75/100 (top 5% of class), Industrial Engineering, 2011.
* Extracurricular:
- 6 years as Teaching Assitant Profesor in several courses of the Industrial Engineering program (mainly with Focus on Corporate Finance, Valuation, Project Evaluation) at the Universidad of Buenos Aires .
- 2 Years as coordinator of Microlending programs of "Un Techo para mi país" (Non-profit organization present in Latin America & the Caribbean. Through the joint work of families living in extreme poverty with volunteers, TECHO seeks to overcome poverty in slums). Coordinated a team of 10 volunteers, that helped over 250 families alongthe last two, with the highest success and repayment rates across all the program in Argentina.
- 3 Years as house construction volunteer and coordinator in "Un Techo para mi país", Over 20 houses built and over 200 supervised across Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and bolivia.
- 2 years as head math instructor for a prison education outreach program.

* Post MBA Goal : Transition to Consulting.
Do you think I stand a chance in the schools I mentioned above? Which other schools should I consider? What should I focus more on? How could I enhance my profile?

Hello Guillermo from Argentina!
We don't see all that many folks from your country, so that's your first advantage.
Other, I should say that overall your profile looks good. You have good work in a good industry, and what seems to be some leadership (although I'd really need more detail to really evaluate the strength of your work experience). The one negative I see is your grades, which can make things a bit tougher.
Your strongest point is though your extra curricular activities. You have many, and they are varied, and you have been involved in many for a long time. And this should give you a lot of really awesome materiel for your application.
what can you do now to improve your profile? Well, I feel that the main thing is the GMAT - Now a 700 is very good. Buuut if you really want to work to offset your GPA and you believe you can get 30+ more points, a GMAT retake may be the best thing you can do for the level of school you are aiming at.
Otherwise, when you apply, I'd suggest you apply to a mix of Top 10 and Top 20 schools, and with a great application and a good story, you should be fine

I will analyze retaking the Gmat, since it was my first attempt.
I hope the magic is still there ! (I took it 4 months ago)
Never thought my grades could be a serious issue, "High" grades at my university are highly unusual (that's why I used the percentile instead)
I definitely will focus on improving this !
