Agree about the GMAT, no harm in trying. Also, if you do end up getting a higher Quant but a lower overall score, I wouldn't cancel the score. You should still report the highest overall score, but then you could also use the Optional Essay to also mention your higher Quant performance on the 2nd attempt. That could help to address any concerns they might have about Quant.

I can understand your reasoning about 2-year programs.

Yes, please do keep me posted if we can help with anything else - good luck!

Thanks for the evaluation.

Yes, I have only taken the GMAT once, and during the practice session I usually scored Q47 and once Q48, so i think retaking it might increase my quant score a bit (just need to ensure to score equally high in Verbal). But as you said, there is no harm in trying, if it's lower than the current, I just don't report it.

I was planning to mention the "Why MBA Question" and "Why Round3" in the optional essay some schools ask for.

So far I mainly looked into 2-year programs, as I would like to move more towards General Management and have the feeling that a 10 month program might not be long enough to prepare me with all the necessary skill set and exposure (via internship) for that track (since I am coming from a very technical background).

I am in the middle of preparing my application, but I would like to get back to you if I encounter additional questions along the way.

Best
Martin
