Hi,
I would really appreciate if I can get some insight and/or suggestions for my mba application for 2017 fall:
Indian Male (25yrs)
GMAT (Score 750, Q 51, V 40, IR 6, AWA 5)
Secondary School (Xth Standard) - 89.33%
Higher Secondary School (XII Standard) - 89.40%
(Won Merit Scholarships for achieving highest marks in Mathematics and Physics at school level)
Graduation:
Bachelor of Tech. in Computer Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (NITK)
Grade - 8.2/10 (I don't know what that would translate to on a 4 pt scale)
Exerience:
2 years Working as a Software Developer in MakeMyTrip (India's Largest Online Travel Agency [OTA])
Currently working for about 1 year as a Data Analyst in a Tech based Brand Marketing StartUp
2 month Summer Training at Defense and Research Development Organization (DRDO), India during 3rd year Graduation
where i worked on a research project and got an article published in India's leading IT publication, PC Quest.
Extra Curricular:
Hold a Junior Diploma in Tabla (Musical Instrument)
Member of official Computers Society and member of various committees in College
Organized events and won a few quizzes and events during college
Volunteer Exp:
Associated with a local ngo, helping to set up blood donation and other camps, collecting donations and funds and helping poor people
Was associated with a Payroll giving program for a leading Indian NGO GiveIndia (I don't know if that is relevant)
I intend to get into Consulting post-MBA which is why:
BSchools I want to target: Fuqua, Tuck, Virginia, Ross, ISB, Kellog, Wharton....
Please suggest how much achievable this target is; what other schools, if any, you would suggest and also what are the possible weaknesses in my profile that I can work upon. I am thinking about applying to about 5 schools in R1. Thanks in advance for your time and honest opinion.

So let's start with academics which are really strong....great GMAT. Your bachelor's GPA (which is all that b-schools will see) is great too...FYI you won't need to convert it to a 4.0 scale, just report it as is and the adcom will be familiar with that scale, above 8 is strong.
Hard to evaluate the strength of your work experience but seems good...I assume highly analytical plus often times working at a startup affords you more opportunities to take on project lead roles or have a broader set of responsibilities. Is a promotion possible or is there any international exposure in your work? That would be a nice plus. I'm also glad you have that analyst experience because transitioning to consulting from software development can be quite tough, so it proves that you have transferable skills outside development.
Your ECAs sound a little light / not very recent so that could be a weak area. Other than that I think your biggest challenges that you should aim to address in your essays primarily are differentiating from a very competitive pool and proving you can make the transition to consulting post-MBA. Make sure you are being specific about what kind of consulting, what firms you'll target, where you want to go long-term, etc.
As for schools, seems like a good list, though I think Wharton could be quite tough for you. Kellogg too, though it is excellent in consulting so I understand why you may want to keep it on your list. Perhaps consider adding a school like NYU (good in consulting, has a high average GMAT that you help with) or perhaps one or two schools in Europe if that's an option too (IESE, HEC Paris, etc.).
