I would really appreciate if I can get some insight and/or suggestions for my mba application for 2017 fall:
Indian Male (25yrs)
GMAT (Score 750, Q 51, V 40, IR 6, AWA 5)
Secondary School (Xth Standard) - 89.33%
Higher Secondary School (XII Standard) - 89.40%
(Won Merit Scholarships for achieving highest marks in Mathematics and Physics at school level)
Graduation:
Bachelor of Tech. in Computer Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (NITK)
Grade - 8.2/10 (I don't know what that would translate to on a 4 pt scale)
Exerience:
2 years Working as a Software Developer in MakeMyTrip (India's Largest Online Travel Agency [OTA])
Currently working for about 1 year as a Data Analyst in a Tech based Brand Marketing StartUp
2 month Summer Training at Defense and Research Development Organization (DRDO), India during 3rd year Graduation
where i worked on a research project and got an article published in India's leading IT publication, PC Quest.
Extra Curricular:
Hold a Junior Diploma in Tabla (Musical Instrument)
Member of official Computers Society and member of various committees in College
Organized events and won a few quizzes and events during college
Volunteer Exp:
Associated with a local ngo, helping to set up blood donation and other camps, collecting donations and funds and helping poor people
Was associated with a Payroll giving program for a leading Indian NGO GiveIndia (I don't know if that is relevant)
I intend to get into Consulting post-MBA which is why:
BSchools I want to target: Fuqua, Tuck, Virginia, Ross, ISB, Kellog, Wharton....
Please suggest how much achievable this target is; what other schools, if any, you would suggest and also what are the possible weaknesses in my profile that I can work upon. I am thinking about applying to about 5 schools in R1. Thanks in advance for your time and honest opinion.
