I'm 2 years out of school and and am looking to apply to MBA programs for next year. I would really love some help evaluating my resume and perhaps get some insights into what I can do, from here, to get into a top 20 school. My stats are:
GPA: 3.25 (from Northwestern)
GMAT: 730 (46Q, 45V, 5AWA)
I know my GPA is regrettable, and unfortunately I have no excuse. I trended upward over the 4 years, but a poor freshman year set me back.
I was a member of the Varsity wrestling program at NU and a multiple year state champion and team captain in HS (I only mention this in case it reflects positively on leadership qualities).
The first year out of school I worked on a startup that received funding, but after a year I changed course and began a managerial position at another startup/small business that is doing very well. I know this isn't the traditional consulting gig that B-Schools like, but I'm proud of the work I've done and hopefully the non-traditional entrepreneurship route doesn't hurt my chances.
Anyway, thanks for reading and I look forward to your responses.

Hi there,
You have a decent profile. Your GMAT Score and work experience is really good. But your GMAT is on lower side but that can certainly be offset by the entrepreneurship experience you have and by writing strong essays. I would definitely recommend you to take some professional consultants help to write your B-School essays. It will make your profile even strong.

You might be a really cool candidate (and it is going to depend on the start-ups you worked at and what your role and responsibilities were there). I'm not that freaked out by your GPA, your GMAT does help compensate for it.
