Profile evaluation - Indian/690/Female

Question

Hi, Im applying to MSF programs for Fall 2016. I have no work experience and will be graduating in 2016.

I scored a 690 (Q49) in my GMAT, and have an aggregate % of 90% (WES evaluation: 4.0) I'm a Bachelors of Commerce with Honors student.
My school has constantly been ranked no. 1 in India for the past many decades, so Im assuming it will be considered Tier 1.
I've had a research intern with a finance professor at a T20 US B-School.

I'm a US citizen, brought up in India and looking to apply to MSF programs since I want to get into IB.

My schools are:
1. UT Austin
2. UT Dallas (Safety school)
3. USC
4. MIT (worth the shot?)
5. Vandy
6. WUSTL (Corp Fin)
7. UVA (Darden)

Do I have any shot of getting into any of these schools? Do you recommend I add some other schools too?

I think you have a decent shot at most of the schools. Are you at Bits Pilani or IIT by any chance? I'd say MIT is going to be a stretch. UVA might be out depending on your major. They take econ majors, but not business majors. Email them to make sure. I'd take UT Dallas off and add SMU in its place. Better brand in Dallas and Texas as a whole.

Nope. I go to a commerce college, but that's been ranked no. 1 for many decades for Commerce. 
Do I qualify as a business major? Because business is an entirely different degree in India, called Bachelors in Business Administration. My degree is just a mix of Law, Accounts and Econ, and some courses of Math and Business.
Not looking to apply to any country other than USA.

SMU would be a better safety school than UT Dallas? I'm really keen on funding too!

Are there any other schools I could possibly apply to?

Not sure how US Adcoms will look at commerce vs business. I'd say if you took accounting, calculus, some stats, then you should be fine. Great GMAT and GPA. Research with the T20 business school professor will be good. Being female and US citizen helps also since so few females apply for MSF degrees.

I think the list you have is pretty good. Maybe Boston College if you want a MIT safety school. I think you'll get funding at many of those schools (although WUSTL doesn't offer scholarships for MSF students). I'd make sure you apply first round to ensure you'll have the most scholarship funds available to you.
