A few reflections on your profile NikGujju:
  1. The academic arc looks decent. I am assuming you did your MBA right after undergrad? The GMAT improvement is great, however, the score might be about average (maybe even a tad below) compared to the Indian peer group at many colleges you are targeting.
  2. For reasons mentioned here, we do not speculate on school selection. That being said, for INSEAD and other European programs, international experience matters; read here.
  3. Your profile profile looks good and the association with global brands will be useful. The transition from that into consulting, that too at a higher than average age profile (?) might be a bit tough to manage/justify. Think about how you'll present the case forcefully as this is going to be a singularly important aspects of the candidature.
  4. The ECs look pretty solid and the continuity is good there. Make sure you leverage that well.

Hope this helps some.

Cheers,

Hi NikGujju,

Firstly, apologies for late reply. let's have some quick inputs on your Profile.

Congrats on such good improvised results on your GMAT within a short period of time. With a 730 GMAT score, you can target most of the top tier1 B Schools. Having said that, even with 750+ Can can't buy you an interview invites from Adcom.

Work Experience – You have got good and diverse work experience. It is important to not just retell the job profile that you have. It is also essential to showcase the achievements, awards initiatives you have taken, the awards you have received etc. Having such International work profile, would be a bait to impress the Adcom in the essay.
Education – This is something no one do anything about. It would be helpful to mention your standing in your batch if your GPA is not on a scale of 4.0
An optional essay can be a good place to address this and tell some reasons that affected your performance.

Extra Curricular – You seem to have good extracurricular activities. Building an entrepreneurship cell, helping the poor women through an NGO, engaging in social activities would be great to present to the Adcom. It makes impression on you if you have all your extra curriculum activities in papers, to bring them out effectively in your essays.

Essays: This is the section of the application that is in your control and typically carries a lot of weight in the final decision. You need to ensure that you chose the right stories for the questions asked and differentiate yourself from the rest not only in the stories but also in the way you present them.

Finally, we could help you in a better way if you can answer the following questions.

1. Are you targeting 1 year or 2-year programs?
2. Do you have any specific geography or dream B-Schools in Mind?

You can "Click here" to evaluate your profile for free and to know the chances for B -Schools.

Thank you for your profile post. While you can take all of this with a grain of salt as it is based on the stats and info you provided only, I think you have a good range here.

Reaches: Booth, Yale, INSEAD, Ross, Darden -- good schools to target though the GMAT score is not amazing for your competitive set and also the 2nd MBA hurts your chances a bit
Targets: HEC, LBS, Cornell, Kellogg 1Y, Stern, IMD

Overall the work experience is good and should prepare you well, though nothing about the experience truly separates you from others. I have to ask, would you consider retaking the test again or no? If you did then we could increase the chances of getting in even more.
