Hi,
Thanks for posting. As you know you're part of a large applicant group; Indian IT candidates.... so you'll want to be sure to try and stand out from that crowd and differentiate yourself. You've got some solid consulting experience that should help do so. Be sure to highlight more than just technical skills and that will help as well. Your GPA is lower than that of similar applicants, something to think about, and than averages at top global schools.
It sounds like you've been recognized for your contribution which is a plus; experience with reputable companies and consulting in a variety of industries should help you have an interesting perspective to contribute; your grades were solid; and your involvement shows you would likely be someone involved in activities at b-school as well.
In terms of what schools to apply to, there are a lot of factors to consider. Generally I'd suggest outside the top 10 or so in the US for best chances; however most US programs are also 2 years so not sure if that is a deal-breaker? There are more 1 year options in Europe/Australia for example and some in Asia. In the US maybe you could look at Cornell; Emory; USC; BU; Babson; Thunderbird.
