Hello guys, I'm an Italian student and, as I said in the title, I'd like to know what you think of my profile for the MiM or MFA at LBS (not sure yet about which apply to) and the CEMS at Esade!
I'm pretty sure I don't really have chances at LBS, still I'd like to know if in your opinion it's still worth a shot or I shouldn't even bother to apply!

Age: 21, born in 1994
School: Bocconi University
GPA: 27/30, I'd say the really upper bound of B+
GMAT: 660, IR 7/12, AWA 5.5/6 --> (I'm planning to retake it as I took it almost without preparation, so I'm pretty sure I can score more, but I don't know if I will make it on time for the 1st of March deadline) (moreover, the main score is really unbalanced toward the Verbal section, do you think it will be a problem? I know it would be better with a high Quant score but this is what I have at the moment..)
Work experience: just a summer job in a family business, a Business Consultant firm --> anyway, I'm pretty sure I will have some offer from banks and consulting firms at the moment of the application, and I'll make sure to state this in my application
Extracurriculars: Amateur Golf player (but I had to stop in the last 2 years due to surgery, I'm still really keen on it anyway, and I'll restart playing as soon as I recover), Summer School at the LSE, Exchange semester in a Financial Times Top100 Canadian University (where I got pretty high grades), Really active during high school as columnist for the high school journal, with a couple of interesting projects (does anyone know if this counts even if it is at high school level?)

What do you think of my (imho waaay below average) profile?

Ua profile is not below average.I am also trying for lbs mim nd lse msc in management science and ua profile is way better than mine :(

I'm not applying to LSE because I already know my not-so-perfect GPA would screw up my application, but good luck for both of it!
You're applying only for Management Science at LSE? It seems to me much more theoretical than the MiM at LBS

Yes but getting in lse is easier than lbs ...I dont think ill apply to lbs (its acceptance rate is below 5%).you have a excellent profile you can get accepted anywhere in uk :)

IMO, the only thing that soft in your application is the GMAT score, but not disastrously so. I'd say you have a better shot at the MFA than the MiM simply because the MFA is in its first year of recruiting. As for LSE, they have a number of MSc programs and not all of them are equally difficult to get into. I forget the order of difficulty though.

Hello guys!
I have just been admitted at Esade for the Msc Finance + CEMS, and I am really happy about it!
Anyway, I had to drop doing a "serious" internship this summer due to personal reasons (nothing serious, mainly problem about how to deal with the schedule of M&A/ECM/Consulting when I am not even sure about where I will take graduate studies, and having to work on a really demanding thesis)!
Given that at this point I won't be able anymore to have a true internship in a top firm (I may find something through connections but I would rather not have to do so), do you think it would still be worth to apply at LBS? I am talking about the difference in terms of prestige and work opportunities: LBS is definetely at another level compared to Esade/CEMS, but I am afraid that even if I would manage to get admitted, I would have problem land an offer in IBD/MBB due to lack of work experience (MIM and MFA last only one year, while esade is 2). Moreover, as I have already said, applying there would turn my life into a mess until July as it would be a problem to work on thesis, exams and LBS admission, so I would do it only if it is worth of.
