Phd(agriculture) pursuing gpa 3.35/4.0
work experience 2.5 years in industry
M.S 7.41/10(equi 3.6/4)
B.S 7.51/10 (eqiv 3.61/4).
I am planning for an MBA after my PhD.I dont see much people here going for the same.My inclination is towards industry/enterpreneurship.
If I manage to get a 700+ in GMAT,does this profile good enough to apply to top 10 schools.Is my GPA at lower end?
Do you think the uniqueness in profile has some advantage,as I have seen Business schools always look for diversity.Please give some insight on this.

I see two problems with your profile. First, schools will be concerned that you are a degree collector. They will wonder why you need another degree immediately after completing a PhD (I think this is what you are saying in your message). They will be concerned that you haven't done much with your prior degrees, which leads to the second issue. Do you just have 2.5 years of full-time experience total? That's on the low end so you'll need to clearly demonstrate all the typeical stuff (leadership, teamwork, etc.) in your essays.
Your GPA looks fine (based on the conversion you gave) and a 700+ GPA would be fine for top 10 schools, but I think you're going to run in to problem because if your education to work ratio. Schools like people who have used their prior education to accomplish professional goals. They are wary of people that have not utilized their prior education to achieve in the real world.

Thanks for you reply and insight into the profile.Yes, I do agree with you about all this.I was just wondering if Adcom will ignore my application because my profile seems to be more on academics side.Also,Although I have less work experience,but had tremendous impact on the company.As I was Technical leader in a whole state.So you say that I have to justify a lot for "Why MBA?" question.Is there people with similar background apply to MBA schoolsi.e, people with higher degrees.
I am 33 so I think this is the right stage to do an MBA.Also I need to switch career.So do you suggest getting more work experience and coming back.
