Education: - X (CBSE): 8.6 CGPA
- XII: 67%
- B.Tech : 67.5%
- M.Tech (IIT): 8.3/10 CGPA
- Extracurriculars:
- Followed/traded stocks & crypto (also ran a blog)
- Previously made YouTube videos on stock trends
- Assistant Head – Training & Placement Cell
- Side Hustle / Entrepreneurship: Built and scaled webapp (100+ users in 60 days);
- Built internal company AI tool for increasing efficiency
Given my 67% in B.Tech and XII, will my academic profile hinder chances at top B-schools like ISB, IIMA/B/C, INSEAD, or M7 (Kellogg, Wharton, MIT Sloan, etc.)?
- I’ve heard mixed things about undergrad cutoffs—does strong M.Tech from IIT + patents + impact-heavy work balance this out?
- Any advice on how to best position this academically weaker segment?
- If yes, How much GMAT score needed, and any other extra things need to upgrade
- Or should I leave this dream, that also please tell.

The question "How much GMAT score needed" is not the right one to be asking. You will definitely have a good chance at the schools if you manage an exceptional test score that will prove your academic bent. Your GMAT score is the one variable that will actually make your case significantly better.
I recommend getting a score first and then think in this direction.
