Thank you for your response.

I will make an effort to elaborate. My research I conducted right after college was fairly computational. This led to me joining a startup with an Engineering focus. This consisted of me taking a marketing role in addition to a technical one. I decided to give Engineering consulting a try and worked on a couple of design projects during my first consulting job. I was part of small teams and while often worked independently - never had a leadership role. Our entire team was laid off after a turbulent project. I moved on to a second company shortly after and have served as a principal designer although no promotion yet. I recently discovered that I prefer the marketing analytics (startup) over engineering consulting and am trying to make my way back.

I have leadership in my extracurricular roles as a mentor to high school students- I meet with each if them every week to discuss life, academics, hobbies, etc. in my other engagement I provide 1-1 tutoring each week to students who struggle with schoolwork and come from marginalized homes.

Thank you for your consideration and response

Got it.
Allright, so let's say that you continue along these lines and present goals in Engineering consulting, but of course with leadership. that would make sense to me, and seem like a natural progress too.

Right now your school list is pretty good but maybe a wee bit challenging. Essentially you have selected schools which are top 5-10. I think that if you expanded your list to Top 20 schools (add maybe a school like Tepper or Johnson or Yale, all relatively connected with NYC), then you would have a more balanced school list.

Hope this helps!
