Undergrad Major: Finance at a large state university
GPA: 3.1
Major GPA (3.4)
GMAT: 700
Work exp: 4 months in Tax, I'm looking to break into finance industry
Georgia State, University of Utah, UF, Notre Dame, UT DAllas, Ohio State, USC
Transcript issues: I have 2 F's and several C's... all of which were prior to my last 60 hours of coursework. What can I expect when applying to these types of schools. If anyone has any advice for me I'd really appreciate it.

What classes did you get those grades in? I would normally say those grades aren't an issue, but if they are in core business classes and/or math classes you will have an issue. I think your GPA is fine though and the major GPA is a nice highlight. GMAT saves you a lot though and the work experience will help you.
IMO, I like Utah, GSU (curious if you are an Atlanta native), UF (closed to non-UF UG's), Notre Dame, UTD (why UTD, look at SMU and/or UTA), OSU (fine), USC (might be a stretch with your GPA, but worth a shot).
Give me a little more background and I can probably give you a better idea on which programs you'll want to focus on.

I got an F in Accounting 1, which i later re-took and received an A. I also failed Pre-Calc, which i re-took and made a B-. I made a C in Acct II.
I made A's and B's in all finance classes.
Here's a look at my major grades: Business Stats: B+, Financial Mgmt: A-, Princ of Marketing: A, Princ of Mgmt: A, Predictive Modeling and Optimization: B, Corporate Finance Theory: B+, Applied Corporate Finance: A-, Survey of Investment: B, Financial Modeling: B+, Financial Institutions: A-, Mergers and Acq: B, Derivative Securities: B
I am from the Atlanta area. I've done research on MSF programs, but I'm having a tough time finding a group of quality programs that I would have a good shot at getting into. I'm open to suggestions!
