Hello there,
So congrats on that stellar GMAT! Fantastic! That will help you out a lot. Overall, your profile looks great. A very good school, with excellent grades, a stellar GMAT and very good work experience.
To answer your fist question, yes military experience can count as work experience.
Overall, I think you should have a good shot at top 10/15 schools. The main thing to work on is your goals. Right now your goals go in three directions: 1. Family business 2. Oil/Gas 3. Automotive The family business could work, but 10M$ in investment is not that much, and I don't know if it counts as a goal (not yet anyhow). The Oil/Gas is an industry change, which might work, but why the change? And how? and to what? And how does it connect to your past? Probably the goal that makes most sense is moving forward in automotive, although you might find it a bit plain. But if you have been doing well so far, why not just continue?
Your school choices are fine, but Kellogg and Ross might go on your list too, esp. if you are going into automotive (yes, still…
)
I hope this helps and makes sense!
Best,
JF
