Hi,

I would like an evaluation of my profile in order to see where I stand in the admission process for a MBA abroad.

Area of Interest : MBA - Marketing
Work Experience : 7 years
Background : IT
Current Employer : Verizon
Undergrad GPA : 83% (I'm not sure how equivalent it is on a 4.0 scale)
GRE : 311 M 157 V 154
TOEFL : yet to take - expired score was 105
10th and 12th grade : 91%
In addition to my IT experience I started my own venture of silk textiles on a small scale through social media.

I'm interested in a decent b school preferably with scholarship.
Mays Business school Texas A&M
Carey School of business ASU
IIT Chicago
Penn State SMEAL school of business
UTD Jindall school of business

Would it be possible for more suggestions of b schools that suit my profile? My main concern would be good placement records.

Hi swethav,

You have a good profile barring your very low GRE score. If I'm not wrong it converts to 570 on GMAT. Your no. of years of work ex and good company brand name will give you an edge but still you should think about improving your GMAT score. But if for some reason you're not able to take another attempt your target school list seems decent. Although you will be still targeting above your score. You may want to look at Hult, Rutgers and Olin. As for employment did you have a look at their employment reports? Which industry/function are you looking to get into? TOEFL : yet to take - expired score was 105did you take your classes in English? If so, may not need althought this TOEFL- depending on the school- may or may not be enough- for HBS no- for some other schools yes.
10th and 12th grade : 91%

I'm interested in a decent b school preferably with scholarship. I don't think with that GRE score you are a candidate for scholarships- so I'd shore up that score if that is a priority. However
Mays Business school Texas A&M avg GRE there is 308 so I don't see 311 as enough of a bump above to be in scholarship pool but you are in range for the school.
