730 GMAT (46Q 44V)
mutual fund sales for global asset manager (2 promotions on this trajectory, appointed to internal leadership committee, various sales awards and cash flow increase metrics)
make a wish - young professional advisory group
teach financial literacy to underprivileged high schoolers

Reach: Tuck, Yale

Target: Duke, Cornell, UVA

Safety: UNC, Georgetown

Am I on the right track for my list of schools? Aim higher/lower?

Hello,
Thanks for your post. While it's tough to fully assess without another level of detail (say through a resume review, which we could do with a free consultation if you are interested), given that you have had promotion and recognition and presumably leadership at work, and some community involvement and solid GPA in econ etc.... I would roughly agree with your school categorization thus far. There's a chance the 'target' schools will still be challenging just given the level of competition among similar candidates, and depending upon how well you put together your application, and upon your recommendations and other factors. The 'safety' schools might not be entirely 'safe' but thinking of them as 'safer' might make the most sense.
