Hello,
I'm thinking about applying for a part-time/executeve MBA program for fall 2014 entry and have narrowed down my choices to NYU Stern's Langone and Columbia's EMBA (executive MBA) programs.
I've posted a similar post about my chances of getting into Stern's Langone program but wanted to figure out how my chances with Columbia are as well.
For Aug. 2014 entry, the early decision admission deadline (which I'm shooting for) is March 19, 2014. I'm planning to send my completed application by the end of February at the latest.

Post-MBA Goals
Short-Term
Grow my current sub-division (triple its revenues) over the next 3 years
Long-Term

10 years down the road, I want to join a leading venture capital fund as their medtech investment expert
Extra info: I live in DC and will select the Weekends option so I can commute up via Amtrack.
I’ve explained my goals as well as my program selection in detail in my first 2 essays and am working on essay 3 as we speak.
Submission Timing: I plan to submit my application by the end of February 2014
Do you think I have a shot and my application strategy is sound?
Thanks in advance.

PS: I'm planning to self-fund my EMBA to avoid the strings attached to employer funding (I don't plan to address this fact in my application). Can this decision hurt me?
