Hi,

I am planning to apply to various MBA programs in 2014 or 2015

My profile:
Nationality: Hong Kong
GMAT: 700(Q-49,V-35, AWA 4).
Univeristy: University of Hong Kong + half year exchange studies in Australia
Qualification : Bachelor of Economics and Finance - 2nd lower honor (GPA:2.7/4)
Professional Qualification: Qualified CPA + Chartered CFA
Work Experience : (at the time of application) 5 Years with 3 year audit experience in big 4 as senior + 2 year corporate finance (IPO, M&A) experience in a china securities house as assistant manager/manager

Extra Curricular : Vice Chairman of Investment Club in University

Please evaluate my profile for
HKUST
CEIBS
OXFORD SAID
CAMBRIDGE JUDGE
MIT SLOAN
Chicago Booth
New York Stern

Thanks!!!!

Hello,

Your profile sounds perfect for the first four schools, and you would be a competitive candidate for all four mentioned.

You will have to craft a strong application for the last three schools (strong essays) because you are jsut in the range of the average score of the last three schools.

For last three schools, i would suggest you to apply in the 1st round

Hope this helps

Is my verbal score(35, 74 percentile) enough for the mba in oxford, cambridge. I heard that some mba in UK/US prefer a verbal score with at least 80 percentile.

Moreover, does my AWA score (4) hurt a lot? do I need to retake gmat again??

Hello,

Your verbal is fine for the schools mentioned by you.

There is no need to retake GMAT for 4 AWA score, its Ok.

Hope this helps

Hello,

Yes, you fall within the range of the GMAT for these schools.

Two points

1) You gotta have strong essays for these schools, since these schools are flooded with applications around the world.
2) Please apply to these schools in the first round itself.

With strong essays and unique story, you should have a shot at these schools.

Hope this helps
