-Starting final year as undergraduate student at CSU Long Beach with 3.7 GPA in economics and it could be higher at time of application as I've been averaging a 4.0 for the last year.
-720 GMAT based on practice exams, could theoretically score higher with more prep.
-I have been running our family business since I turned 18. I do the taxes, run merchant accounts, maintain the website, and just about anything else that is required to run a small business.
Up to this point in my life I've been following an entrepreneurial path through our family business but I'm looking for new challenges and opportunities. I'm not really a traditional student in terms of age and background so I'm looking for direction in terms of what programs would accept me/fit my profile. I'm willing to go anywhere in the world if the program is prestigious enough to warrant it. I got into a couple of top 20 schools for my undergrad but I had to stay local for familial and financial reasons at CSULB. Thank you in advance for any advice you may offer.

Hmm. Honestly, I think you have a really great profile. Have you thought about doing an MBA? I can see you getting into a number of T15 programs. Basically 7 years work experience, great GMAT and GPA score. As for MSF programs, I think you'd be fine getting into just about all the main programs with the exclusion of MIT. I'd still apply to MIT since your stats are great, I just think your background doesn't "fit" them. Same with USC's program.

I should also mention our Econ department does not require anything like linear algebra or differential equations to finish a degree so I have never taken them. I would take them on my own but to graduate on time I have no room for extra non-major courses. Wouldn't programs like MIT be looking for candidates that have more in depth mathematics backgrounds?
