I'd appreciate an evaluation of my profile and also an insight into my recent rejection from Cornell Tech MBA and NYU Stern Tech MBA
Background: Indian, Male, 32.
Undergrad: Top-tier IIT (CSE); CPI: 7.1/10 (WES had converted it into 2.98 GPA, later got it evaluated by ECE which gave me 3.2) I was able to submit 3.2 to Stern as additional info (initially has given WES).
Post-graduate: IIM Ahmedabad
GMAT: 720 (Q49, V39)
Work experience: Total 9.5 years
First 5 years of my career - Management consultant in Big 4 (Deloitte, KPMG) - grew from Associate to Assistant Manager. Worked in multiple sectors Financial services, Education, Renewables, Ports etc.
Last 4.5 years: in a global Fintech startup grew from Deputy manager to Vice President.
I lead business development for Latin America. I am based in Mexico. I speak Spanish professionally with my clients.
Primarily responsible for P&L for Latin America for my company.
Extra-curriculars: decent but skewed towards education - (part of Teach for India, Finance manager of a student-founded education NGO etc.)
Sports: Swimmer and trekker.
LORs: I have good recos from my supervisor and my clients in Latin America.
