Age: 25
Mixed race Korean/Scotch Irish... first to graduate college in my family
GMAT: 710 (2nd attempt... first was 670)
GPA: 3.69 B.S. Industrial & Systems Engineer at public university
WE: I'm a graduate from a very very large international engineering firm's two year leadership program in technical marketing. (four 6 month rotations in different business units, different roles, different geographic locations), was promoted "off program" into a marketing consultant role, where I got a unique opportunity to develop and execute strategies for an emerging vertical market. I have been promoted in this current role 1.5 years after being off program. Currently management would like me to apply the strategic framework I've developed against five other vertical markets. It's strategic marketing with a splash of business development and sales reporting. With my new promotion I now have a small marketing budget ($30k) to manage.
I also have a high chance at an international assignment for 3 years in Europe summer of 2014. I really want to do business school, but feel this may be a good back up if I can't get into any schools the first time around. I lucked out and got the ear of the U.S. CEO, and I'm being prepared for a "leadership experience" where I'll be given team resources to manage a project for BU management, to be executed hopefully by September/October.
EC: I founded an Asian Employee Resource Group where I work about 3 years ago, and grew it from 6 members to 430 across 5 locations in Georgia, California, Tennessee, and Texas. We now have a $30k budget and are sector-wide. I've also played trombone in my church's orchestra for a few years, and have done two mission trips to help Kenyan orphans... last year as a music ministry team lead (I brought my trombone ), and this year as a team co-lead. I'm an avid runner, weightlifter, and won a regional table topics contest at Toastmasters if that counts for anything.
Purpose: Although I've been blessed with a fast moving career, I want to continue to accelerate faster. Through my rotation program, experiences, and current role I've been fascinated by business strategy and it almost teases me to want to see and understand an even larger picture of how companies work. I love the strategy side and would like to get an MBA so I can pursue strategy consulting for a few years, with the long term goal of moving into management at a technology firm, so I can do my engineering degree some justice .

I'm hoping Mick Jagger watches out, cause we are gonna outrock him.
So things look very good for you. Mostly because it is obvious that your promotion schedule is far faster than normal. I did have a bit of confusion about exactly how long you worked (was it 1.5 years + 1.5 years???). Your work experience is truly excellent, and your grades are fine and dandy, as is your GMAT. What you are missing is a bit the "super school" undergrad, but that is forgivable if all else is in order. Whether all this together is enough for Harvard and Wharton depends on what other goodies you have stuck away in your profile (how are your extra currics? volunteer work? and any other extras??). For the other schools on your list, you should be competitive.
Another question I had is: what would be your company's potential involvement in your education?? You say you got the ear of the US CEO??? Does that mean they want to keep you on? Are they willing to rehire you in a managerial position post-MBA? will they sponsor your education?? Corporate sponsorship is not all that common, and can look VERY good (esp. since you have a good guaranteed managerial job when you graduate),

Thank you for your thoughtful reply! It was very encouraging. So my work experience is a total of ~4 years, 2 in the leadership program. When I completed the program, I was promoted into my current job, which I've been in for 2 years as of May 15th. I was promoted in this current role as of January 1st of this year to a "Senior Marketing Consultant", whereas before I suppose I was just a "Marketing Consultant".
I am honestly not sure how my extra curics stand up compared to the average applicant. I've been a mentor for homeless children for a few years, play trombone at my church orchestra every Sunday, and will be doing my 2nd mission trip to help Kenyan orphans this July. Last year I was the music ministry lead (I brought my trombone!), and this year I will be bringing another trombone and am a co-lead for the trip. It's a lot of preparation for these trips (~2 weeks of medical/vision work), and this year we will be going to an AIDS orphanage called "Beat the Drum".
I guess being a Toastmaster, runner, body builder, and yoga enthusiast might be interesting, but without some sort of grand achievement to brag about on my resume, I'm not sure how much value this would have.
I'm also on the board of directors for a large trade organization in energy storage in a market I helped develop in my job, have set up a lot of thought leadership events, and did some innovative marketing to penetrate my market. I'm hoping that will help me differentiate myself somewhat.
I do have the ear of the CEO, but it's more to get this "leadership experience" and a foreign assignment for 2-3 years. I'd love to go but if I get accepted to my dream school of HBS I couldn't give up a great B school for that opportunity. I don't think they would sponsor me full time, but I'm scared of telling my company about my full time thoughts due to the fact that it might compromise my eligibility for this rare foreign assignment not many people get.
