That's great you've got those Quant courses in your background. So I don't think a GMAT retake is necessary for the EMBA programs you're considering...but if you feel like you could score higher based on practice exams and you want to maximize your chances of getting into a competitive program like Duke, then I would go for it again. It really can't hurt because schools will always accept your highest score. Good luck!!

Hi Kate - one final question. Do you think my background/experience is a better fit for Duke's Global Executive MBA rather than their Cross-Continent MBA program? I have ~10 years work experience but always thought I'd still be too junior for an EMBA program. Thanks!

It's a tough call...the Global EMBA requires a minimum of 10 years so you'd be on the low end there. I believe the Cross-Continent MBA has an average years experience around 7, so you'd be on the higher end there! :) Have you had significant management / leadership experience? If not, then you might be a better fit for the Cross-Continent MBA. Also do you have "global responsibilities" in your current role? That appears to be a requirement of the GEMBA.

If you're still uncertain, I'd contact the admissions counselor for the GEMBA program (https://www.fuqua.duke.edu/programs/duke ... /criteria/), they seem to be pretty open to contact from prospective applicants.

Hope this helps!
