Hi, and thanks for writing!
Based on your GMAT score, I'd recommend generally looking at US schools outside of the Top 20. Regarding which program is right for you, good question! Absolutely correct that there's so much info out there. I'd go beyond the school's websites and see if there are any alumni in your area you can talk to (maybe do a search on LinkedIn) and local events that you can attend, so that you can get a true sense of what the program experience is like. Campus visits are ideal, but I know that's tough if you're in India. One thing I'd suggest is looking into which extracurricular clubs you're interested in at a target program, and email one of the student officers of the club to see if they'd be willing to chat about their experience at the program and club - they usually are! I think one of the most important aspects of a program is the culture, which you'll get a close sense of based on your interaction with members of its community. Also, think about what your post-MBA goal is and which of the schools have strong recruitment in that area (the school websites usually have a "Post-MBA employment report" on their site)
I hope that helps a bit - let me know of any other questions!

Hi there!
So I wanted an unbiased opinion on my chances of getting into a good b-school in the US. I am an Indian woman with commerce background. I completed my Bachelors of Commerce in 2012. I am planning to apply for fall 2018 intake and my total work-ex by then will be of almost 5.5 years. I have worked in the corporate field as a Market Research Associate for 2 years and post that started up with 2 of my own firms, one of them being an education firm and other a marketing consultancy.
I have a 3 year graduate degree with an aggregate of 55% and have taken the gmat thrice- 2013: 590, 2014: 530, 2017: 620.
I'd like to know that according to my profile what ranking of schools should I look into? And how do I know the right college for me? There is loads of information out there and a lot of it is misleading. Where and how do I start my research from?
Thanks in advance
