Hi,

I want to apply for MBA programs in USA and ISB, India.

Please look at my profile and advise me:

1. which best US schools I have shot at?

2. In which US schools I can get scholarships?

3. What are my chances in getting in ISB?

4. How is the profile overall?

My profile:

Gmat score: 700

Degree: Btech. In chemical engineering with Mtech. In chemical engineering and design (dual degree course)

College: IIT Delhi

PG cgpa: 8.6/10

UG cgpa: 7.34/10

12th: 78.4%

10th: 88.6%

Work ex.:

Current: 1 year of start up (with good funding) experience in operations with the responsibility of launching venture in different cities in India.

Past: 3 years of ex. at reliance industries limited. Worked at world's biggest refinery.

Extra curricular:

Associated with an NGO for past 3 years for spreading awareness for yoga and meditation.

Hey dude,
I'd love to advise you, but I need more info first:
Can you tell me a bit more about your startup: who funded it? How much did it get? What field is it in? How is its growth? What do you want for the future? And what are your St and LT goals?

If you can get back to me with all this, I'm sure I'll be able to better advise you.

Hi,
The startup in swhich i am working is known as "jugnoo". it is funded by snowleopard and paytm. Series A funding was of $5M and we are going for series B funding of $20M. It is an app based e commerce business. It has 3 verticles:
1. On demand auto rickshaws
2. On demand meal deliveries
3. Hyperlocal grocceries deliveries

I want to go into management consulting first and then want to open my own entreprise.

Hey there,
Okay good to hear. So your funding and your startup is for sure gonna be one of your major strengths. As is the fact that you are an IIT graduation.

Your GMAT is a bit on the low side though for some of the Top 10 schools.

But still, I think that if you can tell a convincing story about the future success of your startup, it should allow you to build a strong application, and I think you can stick to Top 15 schools. (although you should apply to as many as possible in R1 to leave room for adjustment in R2 juuuust in case).
