Hi,
Requesting an evaluation of my candidacy for top 10 programs. Targeting Columbia, MIT, Booth, Kellogg, Haas, Wharton, and Harvard.
Age: 24 (25 by matriculation)
GMAT: 700 (q47, v40) and 710 (q50, v35) – worried about this change in subscores the most. Being an American born student, I was really bummed to see a huge verbal fall, but I didn't want to cancel the score.
Nationality: Indian-American
Undergrad: 3.58 GPA from a top 10 undergraduate business school. Studied Finance/Accounting
Work Experience: By matriculation, I will have 3 years working as technology consultant. I work with corporate finance teams in leveraging technology to improve their financial planning. My experience is a bit unique in that I work for a smaller company that had a lot of attrition, so I was placed on more challenging tasks. I worked as a lead consultant on 3 projects (had smaller engagements with several others), 2 of them being with fortune 100 companies. Should be able to secure a recommendation from a director at one of my clients.
Extracurricular activities: Due to my travel schedule, I don’t have a whole lot. A bit of volunteering experience and have done flag football one year in the city I live in. I do plan to engage in more volunteer work before I do apply.
Post-MBA Goal: I would like to work in product management for one of the tech companies. Am also considering a career in financial services. I am not targeting management consulting.
