Hi there,
Thanks for your post. Do you have any full-time work experience or not due to the med degree?
Best,

Hello Jen,
Thank you for your response. I have completed one year of compulsory internship as part of my training. No work experience though. I only got my degree earlier this month.

Thank you,
Darshan

P.S - Wanted to mention that my area of interest is Finance.

Hi there,
Thanks for the update. It will usually be more challenging when you don't have several years of work experience, when compared with other applicants who have 4-6 years on average, given that a lot of learning at business school comes from your classmates, and the schools are cognizant of that as well and want to ensure everyone has a lot to contribute from the workplace if possible. That said, nailing the GMAT would obviously help, and really putting forth a strong vision of your future goals and why you need the MBA... you don't want it to come across as though you just need/want it to change directions because you don't know what else to do. Your chances may be higher if you did go work in an area that is relevant to both business and healthcare for a couple of years first, to help make that transition, if that is an option. Good luck to you on your decisions!
