I am unsure whether I can get a good B school with this profile.
I am targeting UCLA Anderson,Yale, Columbia and Duke with Indian School of Business as a fallback.
Hey dude,
Good to hear from you. so first of all, it might be a bit early for you to consider a B-school application. the average experience at B-school is like 5 years, and for Indian candidates, it is closer to 7-8. Right now as a software engineer with just two years of experience, you likely won't have that much to offer the B-schools you are currently targeting in terms of your profile. If you really are ready to go to an MBA now, then you should consider that you will likely have to compromise on your school list.
Another thing to consider, is that fro your message I don't yet see much in terms of extra curricular activities and volunteer work that would add depth and breadth to your profile, which as an Indian/Tech/Male applicant (the toughest pool) is so necessary.
So my advice: get another 2-3 years experience while working activitly on building your profile for MBA programs and then you will have stronger chances at the schools you propose.
Although like I mentioned, if you strongly feel that now is the time for you, you can try to apply to lower-ranked schools.
Best,
Jon
