Work experience:
Will have three years of W/E upon matriculation
- 3 years at matriculation at S&P (the ratings agency) (promoted once)
- 1 year Co-Op at Johnson & Johnson during college (managed another intern as well), does it count as a year of work experience, it was full time.
- junior yr internship at Citi (received full time offer)
involved in volunteering at NY Cares, Treasurer of tennis club in college, involved with recruiting at my college at S&P
Undergrad school/major: BS in Finance from big state School (think Penn state/Rutgers/UMass)

Race/nationality/sex: Asian/Male/27
GMAT Score (breakdown!): 750 GMAT (Q49, V42)
Undergrad GPA: 3.42/4.00 (worked full time while attending school full time during my sophomore year)
Goal of MBA: I want to transition into a buyside
Target schools: CBS (would be willing to do ED here if it helps), Wharton, Booth
Please rate my chances at these schools and anything you think I can do to improve my chances, also wanted to know how rating agency experience is viewed in eyes of admissions.

Your GMAT is solid & although your GPA is on the lower end you can use the optional essay to explain that it's because you had to work your way through school. I wouldn't worry too much about years of work experience. 3 years is solid & although an internship isn't seen as being quite as valuable as an actual job (since it's harder to really show impact) it's still worthwhile. Coming from S&P is totally fine assuming you have some strong recommenders who can speak to examples that show your business skills. I think Wharton & Booth are going to be a bit more in the reach category but they are within reach assuming strong essays and you have a shot at CBS for sure. One thing that does not come through here that you'll want to be sure to show in your essays is WHY these goals are your passion & the impact you plan to have in your career. Schools care not just what you plan to do but WHY and what exactly you hope to accomplish.
