Hi,
As I am waiting for Stanford interview invite for Round 2, I thought that it could be a good idea to have a quick profile review to see if I may sound as an interesting profile to them
29-year old Female from France
GMAT: 700 (Q48,V39)
Education: Bachelor and Master degree in Management from ESSEC Business School (ranked #3 MSc in Management in Management according to FT2019)
Participate to an academic program of 3 month on the Singapore campus (selection based on curriculum)
In terms of GPA: no official GPA is calculated by my school, but I am considered given my transcript as a "strong" student
Summer school program at Harvard
French Baccalaureate obtained with High Honors, Valedictorian of my high school (out of 200 students), joined the best "classe préparatoire" (40 students selected out of 700) (typical institution from the French education system) in France to prepare for the competitive examination to Business Schools
Work experience: 4,5 years of experience as a senior strategy consultant in Paris, currently specialized in large scale transformation programs and strategic reviews/private equity. Participate to recruitment and PE training in the firm. I am supposed to be promoted manager next June.
Before this, I ran different internships in M&A, in consulting, in audit companies
Lived in London for 1 year, in India for 2 months, in the US for 2 months
Post-MBA career goals: Work in the internal VC fund of global food companies to help them grow their investment portfolios in disruptive startups in mature countries and in long-standing historic brands for developing countries.
Extra-curricular activities:
Travel (organize each year a trip with 10 friends). Recent travel locations: Ethiopia, Myanmar, Oman, Jordan. Currently planning to go to Uzbekistan
Music (piano practice for 16 years)
Art and culture (took theater courses, went at Ecole Du Louvre courses for one year)
Other information: President of a family-owned PE fund, Founder of the facebook group managing my business school community in London, Responsible for the relationships between my business school and my strategy firm.
Current application status:
Rejected from Columbia
Invited to an interview for Kellogg and HBS
Still waiting for an answer from Yale, Berkeley and Stanford
Would love to get feedbacks on my likelihood to be invited for interviews at Stanford! Thank you very much in advance for your help guys!!

I do think you have an attractive profile --that should be evidenced by your invitation to interview at HBS! Congratulations on that! (It's hard to attribute much to a Kellogg invite, as almost everyone interviews there!) I know the waiting is torture for Stanford, as they only release a few invitations a day over a pretty long period of time, but they are still inviting people - it's definitely not over! In fact, I had a client just invited Friday. So stay positive. You've got a lot to offer - strong academic profile, solid sounding work experience, European background with a global perspective....all good. Your GMAT is a tad low vs. the averages at these target schools, but I think you could still be OK if everything else is strong and you demonstrate a strong fit for the program. With Stanford, your mission/passion and story can help outweigh a lower stat...so hopefully your essays showed these things clearly, and explained how they relate to your goals and what you'll accomplish there! Good luck!!
