Hi, I'm a fresh economics grad, and thinking to apply for MiM or MFin in Europe (interested in both, I want to choose the one that I have the most chance to get admitted). I have no idea which schools I should target.
My profile:
B.S. in economics from a top uni in Turkey (For example McKinsey Bain etc. do recruit from my school but unfortunately unis in Turkey are not world-renowned so idk if having studied in a top uni will do any help). My GPA is 3.3. (and I had to retake some courses to increase my GPA so I think that may be a disadvantage.
GMAT: Haven't taken yet but will take in a month aiming for +700 since my GPA is considerably low.
Internships: 4 internships, one in a big4 audit. one in dubai (only for a month), one investment banking internship at a small firm based in Turkey.
I graduated this year but didn't get a full-time job. I'm still doing a full-time investment banking internship in the firm I previously mentioned because I didn't want to be in a demanding job while studying for GMAT. Do you think this will do any harm for my applications that I am still an intern?
I don't have much international experience. I was supposed to do Erasmus in Spain but due to covid I had to cancel it. Should I mention that in my application? As international experience I can only mention that I attended a short-term cultural student exchange program when I was in high school. I should mention that my internship in Dubai was remote.
For extracurriculars, I have 2 volunteering experiences. In one of them I was a maths teacher for children who had financial difficulties. I gave online courses to them every week for a year and did what a regular math teacher does. (I gave them homework, and then check their homework, I took attendance, solved their questions etc.)
The other volunteering experience similar, this time I helped high-school students to solve their test questions which they couldn't solve. It was a program of a student club in my school. I did this for like one year or so.
Also, I'm creating content for social media but I don't know if I should mention that. Do you think having like 30k followers in a platform would do any help?
Considering all of these, which schools do you think would be a good fit for me? (Assuming my GMAT score will be around 700-710). Do you think have any chance in schools like Bocconi?
