Im a recent Fashion Technology graduate of batch 2020.
Im currently working as a retail planner where my role is to manage 150+ Exclusive Business Outlets for a premium menswear brand pan India and ensure timely execution of the plan season on season. Other roles involve working on OTBs, planning merchandise and inventory, forecasting buys and trends and making budgets for buying in order to increase profits and reduce markdowns.
Total full time work ex: 13 months (Dec 2020- current)
Apart from this, I have a total experience of 9 months in three different internships in the apparel retail sector.
Undergrad GPA : 3.2/4
10th : 10 Cgpa
12th : 93.8%
Extra Curricular: Senior Diploma in Vocal Classical Music
Active member of NGOs since 2018
GMAT: Plan to take the test in the coming months ( Expected score 700+)
Target batch for MBA (2023-2025)
Target Colleges: Simon Business School,
Duke Fuqua, Anderson, Penn state, Rotman, McGill, Schulich
Area of concern - Is the work ex enough( As I will be having a total of 21 months full time work ex at the time of applying)

Thanks for reaching out to us at mbaMission with your profile. Sounds like you are on a good track with your role in retail. In particular, it sounds like a good mix of analytical work and project management type work. I agree with your plan to focus on the GMAT in the coming months. Considering your GPA is a bit on the lower side (unless you are converting that to a 4.0 scale? If so, no need to do that), I think a strong GMAT is important for you. I do also worry about the amount of full-time experience you have, especially since many schools won't "count" college internships in your experience, they sometimes will only ask for post-undergrad, full-time work. I suggest you check the class profiles of the schools you're targeting and see what their average work experience is. If you'd be more than a full year below that, I think it's worth reconsidering your timing and waiting until you have even more experience under your belt.
