Hello experts!
I am a soon-to-be 40yo white male looking to start an executive mba in 2023. This May, I graduated with a bachelors degree in Business Management from Immaculata University with a 4.0 gpa after only have 6 credits from when i was 18. I am a sales operations manager for a financial services company and have 16 years of work experience.
Most of the schools I am looking at offer a test waiver; however, I am open to taking the EA, if needed. I know my undergrad school isn’t top tier, but I wasn’t sure if my gpa is strong enough to make up for that.
There are a few schools in the Philadelphia area that I feel confident about getting in after having conversations with their admissions team, but I was curious if my profile is strong enough to get into Darden’s or Stern’s (DC) EMBA.
Any insight?

Congrats on completing your bachelors! I sense there's an interesting story behind your long gap in education, would love to hear more. Some programs especially appreciate a good hustle story, so it could work in your favor. Have you taken a practice EA just to see where your baseline is? You do have a great GPA, but with the erratic education background, a strong EA score could really give the adcom confidence in your abilities. Before making a call on your viability for Darden/Stern, I'd like to hear more about your extracurriculars and leadership, along with the story behind your education gap.
Storytelling is often the biggest reason folks reach out to consultants, there's an art to getting it right. We do this every day with our clients.
