Hi,

Wondering if I could get some opinions on my profile below, I am looking to apply to the top 10 Business Schools for R2

24 yr old Female, US Applicant but with Indian heritage, 3 Years of work experience for August 2023.

Worked 1yr at Bloomberg and will be close to 2 Yrs at Blackrock.

GMAT 710

Undergrad Rutgers Business School Finance and Supply Chain Management Double major - 3.735 GPA Magna Cum Laude

Extracurriculars: Beta Gamma Sigma, Enactus, AMP, Women at BLK - strong involvement in organizations during undergrad and afterwards

Looking to go into Strategic investment and Entrepreneurship post MBA

Looking at your profile - your work exp is great and you have a relatively good GMAT score. So top US schools are certainly within reach.
Few things you will need to showcase - you are competing against candidates with 5-6 years of exp - how are you better than them, and what differentiates you? Your essays will also need to weave together how your work exp ties in with your ambition of entrepreneurship.

Lastly- what country do you want to eventually work in? If US, then best to stick to US schools only. If not, then expand to European schools too.

Great profile! You are definitely competitive for Top 10 programs in the US. I am not sure about the top 3-5 though - those are always incredibly competitive even for people with your credentials. I would also need to see a little more "pop" in your profile. I imagine you are a solid person with a great narrative, and sometimes that cannot be communicated adequately over GMAT Club posts.

If I were you, I would pick 5-6 in the top 10 for R1/R2 of next year. Get an early jump as soon as the application essays come out (complete your CV/resume even earlier than that!) so you can have options as you go through the process.
