Hi
Admissionado!
I would really appreciate it if you could evaluate my profile and give me suggestions on my story and prospective colleges:
Profile Summary:Ethnographics: 34, Indian, Male,
Academics:
M.Sc. Physics (GPA : 9.2/10), B.Sc. Physics (GPA : 8.9/10)
Work Experience:
2 years as research Assistant. I have 2 publications in international journals. But I didn't leave on good terms with employer so will not get recommendation letter.
I had to leave due to health and family issue and so I worked for about 10 years in farming.
About 3 years in retail stock trading (slightly profitable, part time). Currently developing Algotrading strategies in Pyhton.
Extra Curricular:
I have multiple awards from winning Quiz, Public Speaking competitions and 5KM/10KM races.
CAT/GMAT score :
I appeared in recent CAT and XAT exams to test waters. I got 89 percentile, 96 percentile in verbal ability, in both with 5-6 days of preparation. I am confident that I can get 99 percentile in CAT/XAT/GMAT this year.
Do you think its advisable to prepare for GMAT since it will be a considerable financial risk for me. Can I get into good colleges with this kind of profile?
Please be candid.
