Hey all,
Applying to several Round 1 schools but wanted to weigh in on my profile and likelihood of being accepted to top B schools:
Age - 32(M) at time of matriculation
GPA - 2.7 from a T50 school; MA degree in Homeland Security, 3.9 GPA; two non-degree pre-MBA classes, 3.85 GPA
Work Experience (8-9 years)
- 7 years Army National Guard as an Infantry Officer with several promotions (got out 2022)
- 5 years law enforcement. Currently a financial crimes detective. A few leadership positions as well as ad hoc assignments
- 1 year working within a multinational financial institution as an intelligence analyst
- 2 summers coaching children and supervising adults
- 2 years volunteer HS football coach
- couple other Resume filler type of work
GRE - 310
I was wildly immature in college with my priorities, which will be highlighted in optional essays. Hoping the unique, non-traditional route pans out well.
Thanks!
EDIT: Post-MBA plans is to pivot to Corporate Finance, taking what I've learned (and loved) in the police world and applying it
