Hi, I graduated from SSCBS, University of Delhi with a degree in BBA (Financial Investment Analysis) in June 2025 and I am joining Mckinsey as a Business Analyst (1/20 hired across India). I am planning to pursue my MBA once I have 3 years of work ex and gave GMAT for the first time while awaiting my joining at the firm.
I gave GMAT FE last week and scored 635 (QA 82, VA81, DI81) with 6 weeks of prep. I would try to reappear for GMAT later but want to understand that with a 635, which colleges I can realistically target given my profile. I will ensure that I have more prep when I give the next attempt while working, but I am not sure how much improvement I will be able to get while working on the job. So it would be great if I could get some advice for both my current score and what score I should target.
Profile:
I have a 96.6 in class 10th, 99.8 in 12th (Rank 1) and 9.47/10 GPA in UG (Rank 1).
PORs - Consulting Club
Extracurriculars - International Case Competitions, Guitar, Reading
I am inclined towards schools in India and Europe (Also considering Singapore). I am hesitant about applying to USA given the environment there and also because staying in India is my long term goal.
I have 1 day to submit share my scores with the schools, would appreciate all guidance and advice!

Your profile is very strong. Academics, rank, and ECs all stand out. Being at McKinsey will also add a lot of value, and with 2–3 years of experience, you will be in a solid position for top programs.
However, a 635 will limit your options if you are aiming for top schools in Europe or Asia, especially if you want scholarships. Most of these programs tend to look for 685–705+ to stay competitive, and 705+ is a safer target. With your background, reaching that with some focused prep is very possible. You already scored 635 with 6 weeks, so even while working, you can push it higher if you follow a mock-driven plan and review weak areas regularly.
If you still want to share this score with any schools, look at programs where work experience + profile can balance out the score. But I would still recommend going for a retake.
